Weekend Getaway in Muskoka
This weekend I had the honour to get out of the city and escape to Muskoka with Bio-Oil. We stayed at the JW Marriot The Rosseau Muskoka Resort & Spa which was a treat in itself. The JW Marriot is located in the north part of Ontario where the water is blue and the sun is shining!
As we drove through the path to the entrance you felt relaxed the minute you pulled up, hearing the birds chirping and the overwhelming silence of the spa (sometimes it was a little too quiet compared to the city). With breathtaking views and the indoor-outdoor pool, you couldn't wait to book yourself a massage. We were welcomed by very friendly workers who showed us the resort and brought us to our room. We overlooked the front campfire that is burning for 24 hours every day.
The spa offers massages, facials, body wraps, hydrospa, oxygen spa and much more! Accompanying with an indoor-outdoor pool, steam rooms and of course the hot tub as well. With the all year round pool, it is a beautiful touch to the resort.
I couldn't resist a late night dip before bed in the hot tub. This truly was the cherry on top to end a very relaxing day.
If you're up for exploring, they offer trails for hiking, biking and a dock for water sports. In the summertime kayaking, canoeing and jet skis take over the wonderful waterfront. Simply, looking out onto the lake you will feel a sense of peace.
Now you can't ignore the amazing 6 restaurants available on the resort. Ranging from a simple lunch overlooking the lake to a wonderful steak chophouse.
On my last night, we visited the Teca restaurant and the food was spectacular Italian. As you know, I am a spaghetti and tomato sauce connoisseur and they definitely met my expectations. We also enjoyed some bubbly prosecco and a glass of Chardonnay.
How could you say no to Nova Scotia scallops that melt in your mouth?
Roast Beetroot and Goat Cheese Risotto.
Classic Spaghetti San Marzano.
Overall, I had an amazing time here and definitely will come back. Hoping this summer is filled with adventures and I am so excited to bring you along with me.
